  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Click “Manage FAQs” button 2. From your site’s dashboard you can add, edit and manage all your questions and answers 3. Each question and answer should be added to a category 4. Save and publish.
  • How do I edit or remove the “FAQ” title?
    You can edit the title from the Settings tab in the app. If you don’t want to display the title, simply disable the Title under “Info to Display”.
  • What if it is raining on our way to the harbor?

  • Should we still show up if there is rain in the forecast?
    Yes. The weather in Chicago changes quickly, and the rain in summer may stop in 20 minutes, leaving the rest of the time to breath fresh air and enjoy your trip. However, if there is thunder, lightning, constant rain, thick fog, overly strong winds and gusts, or an approaching weather front that directly conflicts with your appointment, we will cancel your appointment and you will receive a full refund. Guests can reschedule at that time.
  • Is there a captain on a board?
    Yes. You will be accompanied by licensed captain at all times.
  • What about sea-sickness?
    If you are prone to sea sickness, we suggest that you don’t take the chance on sailing. Once we go out, it takes a while to get back. Also, others in you party will not enjoy it as much, while you are being sea sick. If you are not sure, bring medicine for motion sickness (Dramamine has shown the best results)
  • WEATHER POLICY
    Chicago’s weather at times can be varied with the potential to change quickly. In order to sustain the safest conditions for you and your party, only the captain will decide if conditions are appropriate for a safe sail. Harmony will not depart from the harbor if there is thunder or lightning, constant rain, or if it is determined that approaching weather is unavoidable. If such conditions occur while Harmony is outside of the harbor with guests, course will immediately be redirected back to the harbor. Scattered showers that are inconsistent and spotty are generally considered safe sailing conditions and will not be an automatic cancellation of your appointment. Under these circumstances, if you do not arrive to your scheduled appointment you will forfeit the total cost of the charter.
  • Where do we sail to?
    Depends on direction of wind and length of time chosen. You will never loose the view of Chicago.
  • Can we bring food & beverages on the boat?
    Pack like for a picnic, finger foods, chips, cheese, etc. Bring drinks( No hard liquor. It’s hard to stand on stable ground, while intoxicated, even worse on waves. Thank you for understanding)

  • What kind of shoes are the best to wear?
    Be comfortable, we only ask not to wear black sole shoes or high heels.
  • What if there are big waves?
    The safety is most important to us. The boat is built to handle big waves and the captain will make final decision on the trip.
  • What if we are late for our sail?
    The time of your reservation will be counted as your sailing time. If someone is late that time will be deducted. Always helpful to allow your self enough time for traffic, parking, etc. If your scheduled time is from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, and your party is late 30 min, we will leave at 3:30pm and come back at 6:00pm.
  • Is there a bathroom on the boat?
    The bathroom, also called The Head is fully functional on board.
  • What if there is light wind, or no wind at all?
    We will take what we get. Being on water is enjoyable and peaceful. We will motor around to make the best of it.
  • How do we get to Monroe Harbor?
    Monroe Harbor is in the heart of Chicago, accessible by public or private transport. We suggest you allow your self enough time for everyone in the party to get to the shore. 20 minutes is appropriate before scheduled time.
  • Where should we park?
    *** It is important to note that parking in the downtown area can require more time to get to the harbor than anticipated. Please allow adequate time for parking. Parties arriving late due to parking can expect that time to be a part of their scheduled appointment. We recommend to park in the Lakeside Garage on Monroe Street side and exit steps leading to the Monroe St. and Lakeshore Drive intersection.
  • Where do we meet for our sail?
    You will find the sailboat called “Harmony” docked at Monroe Harbor, Just over a hundred yards on the North side of the Chicago Yacht Club.
  • How to find us?
    Monroe Harbor is located in the heart of Chicago, right next to Millennium Park, at the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Monroe Street. 400 E Monroe Street.
  • What kind of deposit do you require?
    Full payment is required at the time that you book your appointment.
  • What if we miss our sail due to circumstances we cannot control?
    If you cancel within 25 – 48 hours of your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged $100.00. If you cancel less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time, or do not show at all, the full price of the charter will be charged and is not refundable. To cancel or reschedule your existing reservation less than 48 hours prior to your appointment, please call Captain Nijole Adler directly 312-206-0533 We understand, unexpected events happen in your schedule so we offer our guests up to 7 days to cancel or reschedule their appointments. Change fee’s will be applied to your newly scheduled reservation.
